Anyone know which brand of contact lens solution came in a purple/lavender bottle?

It was either purple, lavender or a shade of blue. I really liked it, it didn't burn my eyes. If they don't make it anymore, anyone know the brand? ...

Is Frequency a good contact lens brand?

I went for contacts recently and found that my astigmatism is so bad that the brands like Acuvue won’t make lens for my prescription and I had to take these monthly disposables from Frequency. Are they a well known brand?

Sudden but persistent contact lens intolerance?

Anyone have an explanation for this, because my optometrist doesn’t. One year ago I suddenly became intolerant to my soft disposable (2-wk) contacts. They just started hurting one day and ever since I’ve had problems. I’ve tried switching lens brand, cleaning solutions, tried Patanol, and have been using Restasis for several months. Still no go on the contacts. They start to hurt the instant I put them in. I feel the edges of them. Then they start to burn and my eyes and nose begin watering. After taking them out, my eyes continue to burn and nose continues to run for hours. If I wear the contacts for a couple of hours, they will feel irritated for several days afterward. My doctor says my eyes look healthy and he doesn’t know what the problem is. He used some kind of staining drops to look for evidence of excessive dryness but didn’t see anything.

Any ideas???? I would love to lose my -8.0 glasses! (and I’m not a candidate for lasik – corneas too thin.)

are contact lens solution better without thimerosal?

Help! Eyelid swelled ! Contact Lens Problem!?

Okay, so 2 days ago, I got soft contact lens, (the brand is GEO), and I wore them for about 10 hours. I did not go sleep with them, or take a shower or anything. By the tenth hour my eye was getting really red, and my vision blurry, so I took them out and went to bed.
The next day, I woke up and one eye was smaller than the other. It looks like my left eyelid is slightly drooping or something, and it seems smaller than my right eye. And the iris part of my eyes are not even.
I wore my contacts again because I didnt want people noticing it, and I asked my friend, whos a pro with contacts, and she said its either a lazy eye, or swelling because I wore them for too long.
Today I woke up, and its still the same, but its not really that noticable. It kind of feels weird in my droopy eye, like it seems that I can feel it when I blink and everything.

Did anyone have this experience before. Please please please help me!
Oh yeah, theyre soft contact lenses.
And my eye feels really tired, and by night time, I had a bad headache, the back of my neck hurt, the area around my droopy eye hurt, and my vision seems to be deteriorating.

Can I Get A Contact Lens Fitting Without Regular Exam? (Vouge Optical)?

Around the beginning of the year I had a normal eye exam and my eye doctor (at Vouge Optical) said that I was a good candidate for contacts, but at the time I could not get them. Now I really want them, but I understand that you must get a contact lens fitting done first,
Can I have a fitting without a regular eye exam?
Thanks
Oops, I spelled Vogue wrong

what is a macro contact lens?

I went to the eye doctor yesterday and the doctor reccommended that I use the macro contact lens since I have keratoconus and his keratoconus patients have given him good feedback about those lenses so now i would like to do some research on those type of lenses so if anyone can send me a link I would appreciate it or if anyone has worn those type of contacts I would like to know what you thought about them and if they felt comfortable.

What contact lens do you wear? How long do they last?

I’m shopping around for contact lens. I’ve worn two different name brands and pairs. The first one is Acuvue 2 week lens, and the second a year-lasting lens called Zero 6. The Z6 hurt my eyes so bad to wear that I had to put them away after three days of wearing them. My doctor said they’re too heavy, and my eyes just didn’t adjust to them.

I like the Acuvue 2, but that’s every three months…and my parents will have me pay for it (which I don’t mind). The only thing is, I’m a student about to pay for college with a small job. So I wouldn’t be able to afford that.

Has anyone worn the Acuvue 2 past two weeks with positive results? I wore it three weeks and it still felt like new on the 21st day. Could I keep wearing it?

contact lens. What a good eye drop (safe for lenses) the adds moisture?
